The challenges of ADHD – life management, relationship issues, and job stability, need to be addressed with a range of treatment approaches from medication to executive function coaching to individual and family therapy. Dr. Silver will provide a broad overview of managing adult ADHD. Come with your questions, because this is an opportunity to get some helpful ideas from an ADHD specialist.

Bio:
Rick Silver, MD, is a psychiatrist who for many years has been practicing mind-body approaches to health, both in his personal and professional life. His experience with finding good care for two of his daughters who have ADHD helped shape the approaches he uses at THRIVE which he founded in 2007.

"A comprehensive treatment plan, one that incorporates medication, coaching, self-care, grounding and support for the family, is the only effective way to deal with a potentially life-altering condition like ADHD."

Dr. Silver obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Michigan; a Master's degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University; and his medical and psychiatric training from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Dr. Silver is a Maryland native and has a wife, three daughters, two dogs, a cat and a rabbit. He spends a lot of time at work. In his spare time, he likes to play guitar, sing and write songs.
