7:00 PM: ADDing it all up: Making the most of ADD, medication, and behavior
with Michael J. Labellarte, M.D. and Stephanie Streb, MHS, MS, RN, PHNA-B .

What’s different today about ADD than when you grew up? When does having ADD work in your favor? When does it work against you? Are there "watch outs" for other mental health challenges when diagnosed with ADD? What is the latest research and approach for medications, parenting, teaching, coaching, working with, and managing someone with ADD. Managing and living with ADD to make the most of any situation.

Michael J. Labellarte, M.D. and Stephanie Streb, MHS, MS, RN, PHNA-BC will present the latest information on research, medication, and approaches to managing ADD in children, adolescents, and adults. At times a blessing and others a curse, these presenters will give you the tools and insights into managing and thinking about ADD for individuals as they interact in family, school, and work settings.

Michael J. Labellarte, Sr., M.D. is a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Labellarte’s expertise includes medication responsive psychiatric disorders (e.g. ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, and Tourette’s disorder), behavior disorders, academic and school-liaison difficulties. He is experienced in serving patients who often require complicated treatment combinations and collaboration with other treatment providers. Dr. Labellarte sees patients in Annapolis, Columbia, and Baltimore.

Ms. Stephanie Streb, MHS, MS, RN, PHNA-BC, is a candidate in the psychiatric mental heath doctoral program for nurse practitioners. Ms. Streb has studied closely with teams of experts to collaborate on children and adults with complex social, emotional, academic, and behavioral presentations. Ms. Streb is a mother of two young children who is valued for her perspective on when a child's behavior is outside of 'the norm.' She will join Dr. Labellarte in his practice in Annapolis in July after graduating from the Doctoral program at University of Maryland's School of Nursing.
