7:00pm: "Growin Up Good: Parenting Strategies for Raising Children with ADHD/LD" with
Norma Campbell, Ph.D.

Campbell will be sharing her "Dr. Norma's Nuggets" of practical
wisdom, from which came the basics of her book "GROWIN UP GOOD".
She will introduce you to her "AINS": EXPLAIN... TRAIN... REMAIN...
REFRAIN, her humorous nugget for helping you to communicate positively
with your child while also maintaining control of your home environment.
If time allows, she will introduce you to a "Child's Hierarchy of
Manipulation" and to her "Rational Rules of the World", which have
become the foundation of Norbel School's Affective Curriculum.

Campbell in 1980. Norbel is a school that serves children with ADD, ADHD and/or a learning difference resulting in

"I'm better, but something else just isn't right." This presentation will
explore interactions between anxiety/depression/ADD and how they ultimately sabotage
one's optimal performance in life. Treatments, with a pharmacological focus,
will be presented. Practical management issues will be emphasized.

qualifications in adolescent psychiatry. He attended medical school at the
